Constructive criticism and tips

I just did a photo shoot with my friend Geri, and I'm editing the shots right now.  I'll be posting them tonight (hopefully) and I was hoping for some constructive criticism or tips from some of you more experienced portrait photographers.  If you don't feel like browsing my gallery for them, they're in my collection "Geri."

I also want to note that I did my first silhouette photography ever today, so I would really appreciate your opinions on those!  If I like them I may try some more of those soon.

Hiatus, End

1-29-09: I'm back on the web... I've got quite a few pictures to upload from the past few months, but I also found some old cd's in my closet.  Going through them I found a lot of pictures I took with my Vivicam that (I think) could have been really good with a better quality camera.  I think I'll go through those and upload them too, so I'll be adding a lot in the next few days.

I'm in search of an artist - I need someone who can draw or paint people from pictures.  Specifically, I would like a family portrait drawn/painted from photos, as some of the people have passed away.  Of course I'm willing to pay.  If you are interested or know someone who would be, please let me know.
